Silent Night in Panama

Elder Meine visits an orphanage in Panama

Christmas zone conferences were this week.  Elder Meine had the opportunity to visit an orphanage and put on a nativity for the kids.  They also handed out soccer balls, dolls, and bubbles to the kids.

Of course Hunter was one of the WISE MEN!!  :)
The great tie he is wearing was a Christmas gift from his Uncle Steve and Aunt Michele!
It is proof that our Christmas package made it to Panama safe and sound!

Finally some pictures from PANAMA!

It has been a couple of weeks since Elder Meine sent pictures.  The computers down there are not as "high tech" as we are used to and some times he is unable to get them to read his SD card.  Today was like an early Christmas though!  So many great photos!  Enjoy!!

Update of pictures!

New Companion ---- New Area!

Hunter received a new companion on Oct 1, 2014.  Elder Totsch is from Utah and the two already get along great!!  He is now serving in Torrijos Carter!

Fun story from this week in Panama!

First was a house we happened to pass by. We actually walk by it all the time, and these little kids always run out and yell Hola to us and stuff hahaha. But this week, we decided to stop by and actually talk to the family. We met the mother of Luis, that told us a really cool story. Luis is 7 years old, almost 8, and a few years back he was flown to Boston to have a major heart surgery that saved his life. Now he wants to go back and visit, and he still keeps in touch with his old doctor. His mother told us that every time we walked by he would say, ''Look Mom, those are my people!'' It was so sweet, and he was so happy when we actually came and visited! I am so excited to meet with this amazing family again!

a Family Home Evening we had with a member of our bishopric, a menos activo family, and a bunch of investigators!! It was so much fun!!

Panama Day of Service

Elder Meine was able to participate in Panama Day of Service this week.  He said it was fun.  The cool thing was that their photo may be in the Spanish Version of the Liahona.  We will definitely watch for that!

The guy on Hunter's right the Bishop from the last ward he was in.

This weeks e-mail was once again FULL of pictures.  I am so blessed that Hunter takes so many!  He has been transferred to a new area which was WONDERFUL!!  His trainer/companion had not been doing anything and Hunter was feeling useless to the Lord.  This new companion/trainer is 6'4"  tall and from Utah!  Hunter already new him since he was in the same zone with him.  What an exciting duo!  Hunter is ready to work hard!!  Enjoy the pictures!!
